Coffee Stout Collab with Epic Brewing! - The Weekly Grind 2018

Hi everyone, and welcome back to the Weekly Grind! We have a few exciting things in store this week!

Back by popular demand

Cold brew season has officially started up again here at Armeno! With this unseasonably warm weather, many of you have been asking for it, so we've decided to kick off the season early! Not sure what the difference is between iced coffee and cold brew? Check out this blog post from last summer to read up the subject!

Son of a Baptist - Coffee Stout

Armeno has collaborated with Epic Brewing on their phenomenal coffee stout, Son of a Baptist! According to the crew at Epic Brewing:

"Son of a Baptist is an 8% ABV imperial stout. It is not barrel aged like its father, Big Bad Baptist; instead its flavor profile was designed to highlight the complex and often unique flavors of small batch coffees. Instead of sourcing a coffee that would play well in a beer we sought out creative and innovative roasters, then asked them which beans they’re passionate about. Each resulting release of Son of a Baptist is widely different depending on the coffee selected."

We'd describe this iteration as thick and chocolatey with a creamy finish, and distinct notes of citrus thanks to our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe! We have a limited supply of six-packs here at the mill for you to purchase, so come and grab 'em before they're gone!
