Cup of the Month - Myanmar Shan State Ywangan
This month, we're featuring these full city roasted beans that were grown in the Ywangan region, a mountainous area in eastern Myanmar. The high elevations provide perfect conditions for growing high quality coffee, and the end result offers a full bodied and deliciously syrupy cup with a chocolatey finish.
Myanmar burst onto the specialty coffee scene a couple of years, producing delicious, high quality brews that blew coffee drinkers away. Though the area has a long history of growing commercial grade coffee, recent rapid improvement and high cupping scores tossed local growers into the spotlight, highlighting the passion and drive of the country's coffee producing communities.
